| Being a top level executive can be a lonely job with little or no direct feedback. To quote a highly successful coach, Vince Lombardi, “Leaders are not born, they’re made” With limited resources and time, many high valued executives do not focus on themselves or the development of their team. Yet, often top management has achieved success in positions that required different skill sets than where they are today. Corporate Boards are now recognizing that investing in their executive team’s development has an immediate ROI. According to the USC Center for Effective Organization, managers using industry “best practices” can increase key indicators such as ROE 13% and ROI 20%. Strategic skill sets are as essential as understanding profit/loss statements. The Manchester Survey of 140 companies shows 9 in 10 executives believe coaching to be worth their time and dollars. The average return was more than $5 dollars for each $1 spent. |
